Rugby From Oakland University

         Welcome to the Rugby Page created and designed for the members of the Rugby team at Oakland             .   University. This site is to help those who are either a member of the current Men's and Woman's Oakland Team or for the Alumni to be able to promote, sell, and stay in touch with the progress of our program and our lives.        Originally created in 2005 the Men’s Oakland Ruby program “O.U.R.F.C.” was always a power house in Michigan rugby until a downfall of member’s during the 2009-2010 years. Working hard to bring the team back up to Excellence status, the team has made its name as one of the largest and most effective CLUB SPORTS at Oakland University. Throughout the years as Oakland University developed a more structured way of running their Club Sports program, eventually with the help of the current Men’s Rugby officers, a Women’s Rugby Team was created. “W.O.R.C.” aims to live up to the rugby culture and the name of an Oakland rugby program. W.O.R.C. seeks to become what some have come to call, the perfect rugby program. A group of men and women Ruggers who work together both on and off the “pitch”, leaving all emotions aside, as to only focus on the improvement of the team, and use this program as an inclusive atmosphere where one can join and be supported regardless of their actions, appearance, or orientation. The Men's and Woman's Oakland Rugby Teams are designed and supported to include not only the current but also the Alumni members who have gone through the rugby club sports program throughout the last 10 years. We have designed the club to be able to teach, promote, increase revenue, and have continual update to the community about the progress of our program and our lives, even after we graduate.
